This Video Tutorial Demonstrates How To Balance Ambient Lighting Conditions In A Room With Outdoor Lighting Through A Large Window
Balancing Indoor And Exterior Lighting Conditions
For A Natural Look

Architectural photography is one of many compelling commercial applications for HDR. Large windows provide light and a sense of dimension and scale to any room, but they can also create difficult lighting conditions. The room is usually exposed correctly with the window detail being blown out, or the the windows are exposed properly and the room is too dark. Of course many photographers may balance the indoor exposure with an assortment of strobes and light shaping tools, but these can sometimes be difficult to arrange and manage. HDR techniques can be used to strike the right balance between indoor and outdoor lighting conditions while preserving the natural room lighting and color balance of the various ambient light sources.
